Aunt Sabby couldn’t help but feel puzzled by Hera’s apparent good mood, especially since she herself was feeling concerned. Walking just behind them, Zen and Xavier couldn’t help but overhear everything being said, as Hera and Aunt Sabby didn’t seem to be making much effort to lower their voices.
They immediately grasped the reason behind Hera’s laughter, and despite themselves, they couldn’t resist letting out mocking sneers as they walked behind them.
"Aunt Sabby, it’s true that earning points in the show is challenging..." Hera’s words trailed off, sparking concern in Aunt Sabby. Before she could voice her worry, Hera resumed, "But that’s only the case if the participants are slacking."
Aunt Sabby tilted her head in confusion, prompting Hera to elaborate as they walked.
"As guests in your village and participants of ’The Quest’ Variety Show, despite its name being a Variety Show, it’s more akin to a Reality Show with a sprinkle of entertainment. Our purpose here is to immerse ourselves in village life, learning and integrating. That means living and working just like everyone else."
Observing Aunt Sabby still processing the information, Hera pressed on.
"It simply means we must partake in the same meals as everyone in the village and labor diligently, rising early to commence work and ceasing at day’s end before dusk. Isn’t that the essence of village life? Regarding food, the villagers dine on simple fare, and so should we. By adhering to these rules, we’ll earn a full score, affording us a broader selection of ingredients for cooking, resulting in what could be deemed a lavish meal within the village."
Aunt Sabby’s eyes lit up as realization dawned on her. "Ah! So that means, those who neglect the rules and fail to work diligently will only earn points proportional to their efforts, resulting in smaller food portions for them."
Hera nodded in agreement. "Exactly. It’s akin to the villagers’ way of life. The harder they work, the greater their yield of vegetables or milk from the cows, leading to more food on the table or extra money for purchasing other necessities."
"TSK! So, it appears those celebrities were simply slacking off, hoping to garner sympathy and free food," Aunt Sabby exclaimed, her words devoid of any sugarcoating, as she grasped the realization of almost falling victim to Alice’s scheme.
Hera couldn’t help but marvel at Aunt Sabby’s sharp intuition.
Growing increasingly frustrated with the other celebrity’s behavior, Aunt Sabby had her own epiphany. "Oh! Weren’t you and your team always diligent workers? That must mean you’ve earned full points and have access to more ingredients, right?" She couldn’t resist clapping at the conclusion of her sentence.
