Chapter 91 First Day in the Ranch
As the first light of dawn approached, a deafening clang echoed throughout the cabin, reminiscent of the alarm bells used in fire and earthquake drills. Hera, still groggy and disoriented, hastily rose from her bed and rushed downstairs, forgetting even to slip on her slippers, which she carried in her hand as she descended.
Not knowing what was happening, Hera followed everyone outside where the Director and the other crew members stood.
[PasserbyGod: Haha! Hera looked so cute. She didn’t look disheveled, but the confusion on her face was priceless!]
[AuntieNextDoor: I can’t get enough of my little sister Hera... Oh my! She looked cute and funny as she ran out in confusion... (。 ⪰ᗜ⪯)]
[HeraismySister: Good morning too, sister Hera... Hihi ✺◟(ꗞ‿ꗞ)◞✺]
"Good morning, everyone!" The Director surveyed the faces of the equally confused group, except for Xavier, who seemed indifferent with his eyes closed. "Today marks your first day working on the Ranch. If you’re wondering why we woke you up as early as 5 in the morning, well, this is how early they start work here... So, gear up! In an hour, you’ll be heading out with your guides to begin your daily tasks."
After mentioning what should be expected to happen for the day, the Director left to go back to his OB van while leaving the participants in their own devices, it took them whole 5 minutes to understand what was going on.
Since all of them were used to an inconsistent daily schedule and fast-paced preparations, they started moving and washing up after rearranging their thoughts and understanding what needed to be done. Well, only aside from Minerva who’s used to taking her time every morning, so she sat around the porch for as long as she could while watching everyone getting busy.
"Why are you carrying your slippers instead of wearing them?" Zen asked Hera as he found a moment to chat.
