Chapter 224 - Not the real Yunfeng
Yunfeng blinked, his eyes wide as if caught in a sudden spotlight. His heartbeat roared in his ears, each thud echoing louder than the last. The air around them grew thick, heavy with expectation.
"H-Huh... I don’t know what you’re talking about..." he said, his voice breaking on a forced laugh. He smiled awkwardly, trying to shrink under Muchen’s gaze, but it was impossible to hide when he was tied up like this—when everything was laid bare.
But Muchen wasn’t buying it.
His glare darkened. "Don’t you dare try to skid your way out of this," he growled. The sudden edge in his voice made Yunfeng flinch. "You better answer me, Yunfeng."
Before Yunfeng could blink again, Muchen grabbed him by the collar and yanked him forward. Their faces were close—too close—and the intensity in Muchen’s eyes burned through every layer of defense Yunfeng tried to muster.
"I..." Yunfeng whispered, eyes darting to the side, lips trembling slightly.
He tried his usual tactic then—batting his lashes, pressing his lips together in that innocent, playful pout that always got Muchen to sigh and let go. But this time, Muchen didn’t budge.
Yunfeng knew he was in real trouble. He bit his lips. ’what should I say.. ah I’ll use the usual lie.’
So he sighed and said softly sitting up a bit, "I saw it in my dre—"
