Chapter 77 - Playing it cool
Jai anxiously pranced around in his room. As soon as he heard footsteps coming upstairs, he jetted out, dragging Yunfeng into his room. "What did they talk to you about..."
Yunfeng glumly gazed at him. "About the world ending...." He sighed and sat on his friend’s bed.
"Fine, if you don’t want to tell me," Jai rolled his eyes and sat down next to him. "So...."
"Can we talk about something else? I don’t want to think of negative thoughts." Right now, all he wanted to do was forget about the incoming doom. He had done everything he could to prepare for it. All that was left to be done was move his family to the outskirts. That too he would do right before the war began.
There was nothing much to be done.
"Do you really like that Muchen?" Jai whispered ever so silently.
Yunfeng’s gaze fell on him. "Yeah... I like him very much. He makes me feel... something in here." He patted his chest. "I’ve never had these feelings before."
In his past life, he was nothing but a beta for the most part. He had many romantic partners who pursued him, but he never got the tingles as he did for Muchen. It made his whole body feel like it was floating.
It was the best feeling ever.
