Chapter 241: Coming back to the villa
As Ava stepped into the villa, Martha greeted her with an enthusiastic smile. "Madam, you are finally back! Without you, this place felt so empty, almost lifeless. It’s not just a house—it’s a home when you are here. Now that you are back, everything will feel alive again."
Ava couldn’t help but smile, her heart softening at Martha’s heartfelt words.
"I’ve already brought your belongings," Martha continued eagerly, "and put everything back in your closet. I even swapped out the bedsheets and curtains for your favorites. I also changed the flowers in the vase with tulips. I hope everything meets your liking."
Ava blinked in surprise, genuinely touched by Martha’s thoughtfulness. "Thank you, Martha."
But Martha quickly shook her head, waving her hands as though to dismiss the praise. "Oh, no, don’t thank me! It was all Sir’s instructions. He even picked the flowers himself. If anyone deserves thanks, it’s him."
Ava’s gaze instinctively shifted to Dylan, who stood quietly by her side, his dark green eyes locked onto hers. Her heart skipped a beat as an inexplicable warmth spread through her.
"If tulips make you smile, I’ll fill every corner of this house with them," Dylan murmured as he leaned closer.
Ava’s cheeks flushed a deep crimson, and she felt a rush of heat flood her entire body. She quickly glanced toward Martha and caught her gawking at them.
"Behave," Ava muttered, placing a firm hand on Dylan’s shoulder and giving him a gentle push to create some distance.
"I-I’ll get started on dinner!" Martha stammered, flustered, before hurriedly retreating into the kitchen.
Ava’s cheeks burned with heat as she spun on her heel and hurried toward the bedroom.
