Chapter 178: Heart failure
At the hospital...
Dylan felt a wave of relief wash over him as the doctor reassured him, "Both Lilianna and the baby are fine. She just needs rest and proper care."
"Thank you, doctor," Dylan thanked him with gratitude.
The doctor offered a kind nod before walking away.
Left alone in the hallway, Dylan’s thoughts immediately shifted to Henry. Pulling out his phone, he dialed Henry’s number. The phone rang, but it didn’t connect.
"What?" Dylan muttered, frowning at the screen. "Why isn’t he picking up? Strange."
Dylan was a bit annoyed. He quickly typed out a message: ’Lilianna fainted at the restaurant. I brought her to City Hospital. Come here quickly.’ He hit send, not realizing Henry was occupied with surgery in the very same hospital.
Sliding his phone back into his pocket, Dylan strode toward the pharmacy to collect the prescribed medicines. But just as he took a few steps, he froze mid-stride as his gaze landed on a familiar figure moving down the corridor. His brows furrowed.
"Nicholas!" Dylan mumbled in surprise.
Nicholas was seated in a wheelchair, looking pale and visibly weak.
Dylan remained rooted in place and watched Alex push the wheelchair away. ’What happened to Nicholas? Why is he here in this state?’
