Chapter 6: Lin Xiao Feng’s Reason
Lin Xiao Feng walked into the room and An Nuan trailed closely after him.
The sound of the door closing behind him made Lin Xiao Feng hesitate about his decision. He was the one who volunteered to take the groom's place and marry. However, thinking about An Nuan's reaction made him a little scared.
"Xiao Feng?"
Lin Xiao Feng snapped out of his thoughts as he listened to An Nuan's soft voice behind him. He pursed his lips, noticing the slight hoarse in An Nuan's voice.
Slowly, Lin Xiao Feng turned around.
An Nuan's reddened eyes were too apparent. She looked like she wanted to cry. However, An Nuan was doing her best to calm down.
"What do you want to say to me?" An Nuan asked. "You..." Her eyes on Lin Xiao Feng became complicated. "Why do you want to take the place of the substitute groom?"
"Then, are you going to marry a stranger instead?"
An Nuan lowered her gaze. She opened and closed her mouth a few times but in the end, she could not form a reply.
