Chapter 483: There’s no such thing as too many secret place
"Whoa..."
My eyes were wide open as I stared at the newly built structure on the side of the lake, across my beloved greenhouse. I had to admit that I was still rather doubtful before, wondering if they could really do it in less than three weeks, but...
There it was; a fully functional and steady bridge connecting the greenhouse and the other side of the lake, leading to...nothing.
Wait--no need to be disappointed. Of course, it would look like nothing; a complete isolation and illusion array was being drawn all the way from the forest to the lakeside. From the greenhouse, the bridge would only seem to be connected to a small open pavilion. Nothing more.
Hell--they even made the bride and the pavilion beautiful to make it seem like nothing more than an aesthetic decoration for the Lord’s consort. Ahem, me.
I mean...who would have thought this white, flowery rest area, decorated in colorful mana lamps and surrounded by glowing waterlilies was a gate to something that would decide the fate of the world? Surely, it was just a place for the young consort to have a picnic and enjoy an outdoor teatime...right?
"Let’s go?" Natha offered his hand and I took it with suppressed excitement. Aside from the time I walked around with Amarein to choose the best location, I hadn’t visited the place yet.
Aside from trying to save myself from hazardous conditions--seeing how I had a habit of tripping and stumbling on a weekly basis--I also didn’t want to get in their way. I didn’t even visit the greenhouse all this time, since they had to work on the bridge.
So, I was kind of excited. As excited as I was before going to Natha’s collection room for the first time. I couldn’t stop giggling, and Jade giggled with me, while Ignis was playing it cool and scoffing as usual--although I could feel a tail slapping my shoulder from time to time.
"I feel like we’re going to a hidden amusement park or something," I giggled and felt Natha stiffening beside me. "Huh? What’s wrong?"
"Hmm? Nothing..." Natha cleared his throat and pulled me to walk faster. "Did you bring the scroll?"
