Chapter 208
Damian didn’t answer Angela; instead, he swiftly condensed his aura and hurled it at her. The attack exploded upon contact with Angela’s stomach, blasting her backward with immense force. She was sent flying over a hundred meters, crashing into one of the nearby stalls.
The sudden assault left even Cypher unable to react in time.
"Umm, Edge, I think we should talk later," I said, my heart racing. The situation was spiraling out of control. Why did Damian have to appear here now?
Without hesitation, I forced the pod door open and prepared to jump down.
"Ack!" I yelped as Edge grabbed my scarf, pulling me back. I looked at him in surprise. "What was that for?"
"I need to hear the reason why. Did you even hear what I said earlier?" Edge demanded, his eyes serious. Maybe this witch knows what is lacking with him so that he can change it in order for Angela to notice him as a man.
I quickly tried to recall his words, but I was too distracted by the chaos below to remember. My focus was entirely on the scene unfolding.
I gave him a quick smile, trying to lighten the mood despite the dire circumstances. "No," I replied cheekily before jumping down from the Ferris wheel.
The wind tore past me as I plummeted, adrenaline sharpening my senses. I braced for impact, landing with a roll that allowed me to quickly recover and sprint toward the chaos unfolding.
