Chapter 188
I just had a recent fight, and there’s no way in hell I’d use "Bloodthirst" again. Levi and his army of demonic beasts was much stronger than these three fools combined.
Instead, I activated my ability, "Serenade of Daggers." I had to deal with Oliver first. The weapon that Kairos had given me thrummed with energy, multiplying as I hurled it toward Oliver. He seemed completely caught off guard.
"Shit!" Oliver muttered, his eyes widening as the daggers multiplied in the air, glinting ominously in the dappled moonlight. He tried to dodge, but it was too late. Three of my daggers found their marks—piercing his arm, leg, and shoulder.
"Fuck! How can a stupid dagger reach me that far?!" he howled in pain, staggering back, his features twisted in shock and anger.
~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~ ~~~
Zander watched the whole scene unfold, his mind racing. How could one dagger suddenly multiply into ten? He shook his head in disbelief as the blades struck Oliver, leaving him incapacitated. The daggers then flew back to Remillia, converging as if they were drawn by an unseen thread. They landed gracefully in her hand, which became a single dagger once more.
She cracked her neck and fixed her gaze on him, confidence radiating off her. "Now that your long-ranged fighter can’t move, shall we continue fighting?"
Chills crept down Zander’s spine. Why did he suddenly feel scared of this girl? Something about her suddenly changed.
Before he could muster a response or check on Oliver, she was upon them, moving with an agility that defied logic. Zander barely had time to react as she soared through the air, delivering a precision kick aimed at him.
Caught off guard, Zander instinctively raised his arms to shield himself, bracing for impact. But just as he thought he could block her, she shifted mid-air. With an unexpected fluidity, she aimed a dagger directly at his leg, driving it deep into his muscle.
A jolt of pain shot through him as he stumbled backward, gripping the wound and trying to steady himself. "Fuck!" he gasped, his eyes widening as he fought to regain his balance. Panic surged as he realized how quickly the situation had turned against him.
