I Was Transmigrated As An Extraordinary Extra

Chapter 124

With forced cheerfulness, I placed a hand on his shoulder, pretending to be friendly, but I applied a bit more pressure than necessary, trying to convey silently that he needed to introduce himself. Yet, he only gave them a cold stare. It’s obvious that he won’t bother talking to them.

Whitney, the most socially adept among them, greeted him awkwardly. "Umm, it’s nice to meet you, Sir Cross." The other three bowed out of respect considering he is a high ranked hero.

I laughed awkwardly, desperately trying to ease the tension that had settled in the air, especially since Kairos refused to engage. ’Does he have a personality disorder? He was fine just moments ago!’

"Right, this is Angela Forbes, Whitney Owen—"

"No need with the introductions. I already know who they are since almost all the guilds wanted to recruit them," Kairos interrupted coldly.

Just like he said, the four of them were already well known that it would be strange for anyone in this business to not know them.

Since they didn’t know how to interact with Kairos, the atmosphere became awkward, and they excused themselves to sit at another table, even though ours was still mostly empty.

I stood up, ready to excuse myself and join my friends at the other table, but as I turned to leave, I felt a sudden stop in my tracks. Kairos’s voice cut through the air, his tone low and smooth. "Where are you going?"

"To sit with..." Before I could finish my sentence, he cut me off.

"I think their table is great, what do you think?" His words dripping with a hint of amusement.

My eyes widened slightly as I realized what he was insinuating. He was warning me that if I went to sit with my friends, he would naturally sit beside me again. A surge of frustration rose up inside me, and I felt my face grow hot.
