Chapter 86
The final monster of the day was the Direflame Wyrm, an elite creature with scales that shimmered like molten lava. Its fiery breath scorched the ground around it, and Remillia had to be careful not to be caught in its flames. After a prolonged battle, she found a weakness in its armor and drove her dagger deep into its chest, extinguishing its life.
With the last of the monsters slain, Remillia took a deep breath, wiping the sweat from her brow. Stephen, who had been diligently storing each fallen creature, approached her with a satisfied grin.
"Ten monsters in one day," he said, impressed. "That’s quite the haul."
Remillia nodded, feeling a sense of accomplishment. "Let’s head back. We’ve done enough for today."
As they made their way back to the car, Macaron rejoined them, his own hunt complete. The day had been long and exhausting, but the rewards were worth it. Remillia had once again proven her skills, and Stephen was proud to be her agent, knowing that he represented one of the youngest and finest hunters in the land.
"I’ll make sure the money earned from today’s hunt is sent to you soon."
Remillia nodded, used to the routine by now. She knew Stephen was reliable, always ensuring that her efforts were properly compensated. As they drove back, Remillia looked out the window, the passing scenery blurring into the dusk.
’Looks like tomorrow’s going to be boring again if I stay at my room,’ she mused quietly.
As she walked back to her dorm, she realized that staying cooped up for the rest of the school break would only lead to boredom.
"Guess I’ll just keep hunting monsters for the rest of the break," she mused quietly, already feeling the familiar restlessness creeping in.
During the remainder of her break, Remillia fell into a routine of hunting monsters, training until late at night and sleeping. Each day was filled with intense workout allowing her to grow stronger while keeping boredom at bay. By the time Monday arrived and classes resumed, she was refreshed, both physically and mentally.
