Chapter 503: Patient's Record
When the travellers saw Wang Changguo shuffle away on his trembling legs, they sighed in relief. Jiang Cheng turned to Yu Yu. When she felt Jiang Cheng’s gaze, she felt embarrassed. She reached out to pull on her hair. Jiang Cheng didn’t seem to mind it. He raised his brow.
“We need to keep up,” Kui Yi whispered urgently. Everyone moved to follow Wang Changguo. They soon reached the fourth floor. When they passed by the nurse station, the light was still on. However, it was abandoned. Zhao Ru’s coat was slung over the back of the chair.
After hearing the story from Kui Yi and Lin Wan ‘Er, Jiang Cheng also believed that the person hiding in bed was Zhao Ru and the entity hiding behind the thick curtain was the ghost. They must have done that to obtain something from the mad nurse.
The corridor was quiet. The doors were closed. Yu Yu was anxious. When she was there last, quite a number of patients stayed there. Everyone lightened their gait.
The atmosphere was oppressive when they stood before Room 409. The door was shut. A wooden board hung on the door. The board looked aged. The corners were rotten. This room didn’t look like a typical sickroom.
“Erm… How shall I get in?” Wang Changguo turned to ask Jiang Cheng. He stumbled over his words, “Do I need to pay attention to my pose?”
“Pose?” Kui Yi was surprised that Wang Changguo would consider that.
Wang Changguo warned, “I’ve seen some horror movies. You can’t just walk willy-nilly into a haunted room. You have to employ a special method,” Wang Changguo added, “Like walking in backwards or crawling in.”
“I don’t think that’s necessary.” Jiang Cheng interrupted, “I just wish to remind you that your time is running out. If you don’t want to get into the room, we’ll leave. We’ll find a restaurant to treat you. You can order anything you want. It’s your last meal, so there’s no need to skimp.”
