Chapter 1168: Buying New Clothes for The New Years
To be fair, what Aunt Zhao said wasn’t wrong. But still, taking so many things from the Zhao family without any real reason—Gu Zi couldn’t help but feel uneasy about it. Yet Aunt Zhao insisted with such fervor that they had no choice but to accept it all in the end.
When they returned home, it was only just after one in the afternoon.
Since it was still early, Gu Zi decided that today was as good a day as any to take the whole family shopping for winter clothes. After all, the clothes they had brought from the south were laughably inadequate for a northern winter. The biting cold up here was on an entirely different level, and what passed for a down jacket down south was practically tissue paper up here.
There was just one small issue: Su Shen had gotten pig’s blood all over him earlier, and the moment they stepped through the door, he rushed into the bathroom for a shower. He was worried the lingering scent might bother Gu Zi, who was pregnant and understandably sensitive to smells.
Gu Zi, meanwhile, called Su Li over and told him to shower too—he’d been running around the pigsty earlier with a pack of rowdy kids and reeked of pig as well.
As for Su Le, she’d been following Su Bing all day, and the pair of them were spotless and squeaky clean—no need to change clothes.
Once Su Shen and Su Li had showered and changed into fresh outfits, Su Shen took the wheel and the family headed to the city center.
The moment he heard they were going shopping for clothes, Su Li lit up like a Christmas tree. He bounced around so energetically in the back seat that his head bumped the roof of the car more than once—but he didn’t seem to mind one bit.
