Chapter 1091: Dormmates
Although Gu Zi lived nearby and technically didn’t need to stay on campus, she figured having a dorm bed might come in handy. It would be a perfect place to rest during lunchtime or a cozy refuge on rainy or windy days when going back home felt like a chore. Besides, it just seemed more convenient to have a dorm room.
The dormitory building had clearly seen better days, with that vintage institutional charm that screamed early-2000s budget.
Gu Zi was assigned a room on the second floor—an absolute win in her books. No need to haul herself up endless stairs.
She was the first to arrive, and as she pushed the door open, the layout was immediately clear: four beds arranged neatly, no top bunks for sleeping—only for storage. Each bed was a lower bunk, meaning more comfort and no ladders.
A small balcony peeked out on one side, equipped with clothes-drying rods and a radiator. On either end of the balcony, two sets of cabinets stood sentinel, their four doors hinting at the potential for territorial wars to come.
She picked the bed closest to the balcony. The air was fresher there, and honestly, who didn’t want a bit more light and breeze?
The school had provided brand-new bedding, so there was no need to bring her own. Since she was already here, she figured she might as well make the bed right away and then head out to buy some daily necessities. Even if she was only planning to use the room for the occasional nap, it was still going to be her space. Better to come prepared and not have to borrow things from others later on.
She had just finished laying out the sheets when a knock sounded at the door. Two girls entered, luggage in tow, chatting animatedly. The moment they spotted Gu Zi, they beamed and hurried over to greet her.
