The next morning, Shinji finished his routine and headed to the assembly. Workers involved in the construction gathered for updates. Afterward, he and Freri walked to the worksite.
As they strolled, they drew attention. The project relied heavily on magic users, so workers often gave them approving looks. Shinji and Freri ignored the stares and kept moving.
At the coast, they joined the workers and began their tasks. Shinji tapped the ground with his staff, casting magic. The earth sank and compacted.
Normally, this would take many workers with shovels, digging and packing for hours. But with magic, it was done in minutes—precise and efficient.
Shinji shaped the ground according to the marked lines. The supervisor rushed to measure the depth. Seeing it matched the plans, he sighed in admiration, made a large circle with his hands, and signaled from a distance: everything was fine. Shinji waved back.
The carpenters, who had been waiting, moved to the leveled area. With nothing more to do, Shinji headed to his next task.
