Chapter 132
- KILLIAN -
My jaw tightens as a black vehicle pulls into my front yard. I’m standing on the first stairs of the step stairs leading to my front door, casually dressed in a black long sleeve shirt and ash sweatpants with my hands in both my pockets as I watch the car.
My finger plays with my zippo in my pocket. I need to keep my head sane. The lady in the car parks her car beside mine and gets down.
Dressed in her typical, extravagant way it seems. Asami is wearing a short, body hug, black dress that stops just above her knee with a long, black leather coat, the collar part being fur. She has a small, netty vintage hat on and black gloves clothes her fingers up to her wrists. Asami takes off her sunshades as she stands in front of me from the last stairs, keeping her distance.
“Causally dressed for a meeting, are we?” She purrs, staring at me straight in the eye.
“Overly dressed for a meeting, are we?” I respond dryly, completely bored.
A chuckle slips in my ears. “Lead the way.” She says.
“As you wish.” I would’ve stepped aside to let her go in first but I don’t trust that woman not to do something that would piss me off. Along with being overly annoying, Asami has fast fingers and can swipe anything off anywhere if she wanted to.
Knowing she could pick pocket back then was intriguing, now it just feels more like a. . . I take a deep breath, disturbing trait I’d love to end.
“No manners, Killian? It’s ladies first.” She walks past me, making her way in. I just let her go, keeping a close eye on her hands and every body movement.
“The house seems empty, what? Hazel dumped you?” Asami looks around, examining the living room. Her tone is playful as usual. The wide smile plastered on her lips as she asked that ridiculous question ticks me off but I don’t show it. I won’t show it.
