Chapter 719: Someone Depressed (1)
Three days after Mia Parker left was the National Day.
The Ruiz Family resumed their gatherings, but they didn’t ask Carolline and Bryan Cooper to attend. After all, Carolline was a married daughter, so it wouldn’t make sense for her to return to her parents’ house on the exact day of the holiday. Although Carolline’s grandfather was her paternal grandfather, he still belonged to the maternal side, not the paternal side. Therefore, he was quite clear about the traditional customs.
However, the day before National Day, Mrs. Hawkins called to announce that they would be going to York City, as Camelia Hawkins was getting married.
Carolline was surprised because she hadn’t heard that Camelia was in a relationship. Yet, this girl’s actions were quicker than anyone else’s, as she announced her marriage directly. Since they had to go to York City a day earlier, Carolline had to arrange her holiday in advance as well.
Luckily, Gary Skate was on her side. When Carolline requested to take a day off earlier, he agreed without hesitation. His attitude was a lot better compared to his previously indifferent demeanor.
On National Day, many unexpected things happened. When Carolline saw Joseph Patel, her intuition told her that he was an outstanding man and even radiating charm wouldn’t be an overstatement. However, he wasn’t the type Camelia would like.
Her intuition didn’t last long, as soon after, they heard about Camelia fleeing from the wedding. When Joseph lifted the bride’s veil, the guests might not have noticed, but the Hawkins family knew that the person was not Camelia Hawkins.
As a result, Carolline then learned about Camelia’s twisted love story in bits and pieces. Thankfully, the lovers finally got together in the end.
That day, Camelia’s escape from the wedding made Mrs. Hawkins very angry. It was the first time Carolline saw the old lady so angry. Fortunately for Camelia, they received a call that Madelyn Lincoln was giving birth. The original storm subsided, and the sky cleared instantly.
Bryan Cooper arranged for them to take a private jet back to G City. When they arrived, Madelyn Lincoln had already left the delivery room, and boy-girl twins were lying in their baby carriage. William Hawkins was particularly smug.
