Since she’s about to leave for half a month, she’d definitely miss it if she didn’t eat tonight.
"Of course, honey, I want to have hot pot too. As promised, I must have it once before giving birth, so might as well do it today." Megan Clifton just appeared out of nowhere and no one knew when she arrived, but as soon as she entered, she made her stance clear.
"..." Andy Aguirre wanted to refuse. He had previously promised Megan Clifton to let her have hot pot once before giving birth, but he thought she’d likely forget about it if he kept stalling.
But now, with Mia Parker mentioning it, he probably couldn’t stall any longer.
"It’s okay. Eating it once or twice occasionally won’t make a big difference. I ate it when I was carrying Axel too." Carolline Ruiz joined the persuasion team, mainly because Megan Clifton was signaling her, and she was really worried that Megan Clifton’s big eyes would blink her away.
"Since it’s for Mia Parker’s farewell, we should let her choose whatever she wants to eat. Aren’t you acting as her brother? How can you not be more laid-back?" Megan Clifton glared at her husband. With Carolline Ruiz speaking up and this man still not giving in, she had to show her strong side.
"Fine, hot pot it is." Andy Aguirre gritted his teeth and agreed. At worst, he would bear the pressure from his mother.
Megan Clifton was the happiest. Mia Parker took the things she’d bought to her parents’ house, and when she told them she was going to have dinner with Carolline Ruiz and Andy Aguirre, they didn’t object. After all, since growing up, their daughter hadn’t spent much time around them; she was very independent.
