Chapter 671: Each Gets Their Retribution (2)
If Cole Duncan were to really leave here, whether he and his daughter could meet again in this lifetime would be an unknown.
"Daddy—" Elena walked over, calling out softly. After being cared for by Daisy’s mother for two days, Elena’s complexion gradually regained its rosy color.
"Hmm, Elena, Daddy is sorry." Cole Duncan pulled Elena into his embrace, his eyes moist. He knew that during those days, they had fed her quite a few sleeping pills to keep her from being noisy.
Fortunately, they didn’t overdose her. Otherwise, they would’ve lost her for real.
Everything was all right now. It was just because he, as a father, had never made up his mind. If he had been determined earlier, his baby girl wouldn’t have suffered like this.
"Daddy, don’t cry. Elena is okay now." Elena wiped the tears from the corners of Cole Duncan’s eyes and comforted his heart.
Such a sensible Elena had experienced so much. But her mother always said Daisy Willow couldn’t teach Elena well. In fact, Daisy had done an excellent job teaching her child.
With this, he felt relieved and could completely leave the lives of mother and daughter.
"Alright, Daddy won’t cry. Elena, listen to Mommy’s words, study well, work hard but don’t put too much pressure on yourself. Daddy and Mommy hope you can grow up happy and healthy, understand?" Cole Duncan said with a smile.
"Hmm, Elena knows. Daddy, Granny has been locked up. Who will take care of you in the future? Let Auntie Katie stay with you. She’s good at taking care of people." Elena said this in front of Katie.
