Chapter 660: It’s Really Not Him (7)
Carolline ordered a fast-food meal for Daisy Willow, which included meat, vegetables, and soup. Daisy Willow ate it quickly, swallowing the food whole. Then, the nurse gave her a few pills to treat heatstroke and finished settling the emergency fee. With the delay, it was time for Carolline to get off work.
She quickly changed her clothes and rushed with Daisy Willow to the entrance of the Hospital, where they hailed a cab. Once in the car, Carolline finally called home and then called Bryan Cooper.
She briefly explained what had happened to Daisy Willow and that they were going to the Duncan Family’s home. Bryan Cooper only had time to remind her not to be too hasty and wait for him to arrive.
Carolline’s phone ran out of battery soon after. She had been too busy in the afternoon to charge her phone. As a result, she didn’t hear Bryan Cooper’s final instructions clearly.
Upon arriving at the Duncan Family’s house, the two rang the doorbell directly.
The person who came to open the door was the butler serving Debbie Duncan. The butler glared at them and asked, "Miss Daisy Willow, Miss Carolline, what do you want?"
"You’ll see when we get inside." Carolline pushed the butler aside directly. She had a double standard when dealing with people; she would naturally be respectful to those who deserved it, but she didn’t see the need to respect those who didn’t.
Daisy Willow was practically dragged by Carolline into the Duncan Family’s living room. Debbie Duncan was still sitting on the sofa, Cole Duncan had returned to his room to change into home clothes, and Katie was busy making dinner in the Kitchen when they were startled by the menacing appearance of Carolline and Daisy Willow entering the house.
"What are you doing here?" Debbie Duncan turned her head first, not feeling surprised to see Daisy Willow, but she felt uneasy when she saw Carolline.
