Since there wasn’t any tattoo on Bryan Hawkins’ clean and flawless body, even though the person in the photos looked almost the same, especially when the photographer didn’t give a close-up of Bryan’s face and it was unclear, Carolline Ruiz concluded that the person who sent the anonymous photos really had evil intentions.
Either they wanted to sow discord between the couple or lure her over and then have some unspeakable motives.
Another text message followed: Mrs. Hawkins, it’s really the first time I’ve seen such an open-hearted woman like you. If all men could marry you as their wife, then the men of Z Country would be too fortunate. In the future, I’ll provide your husband with more opportunities like this.
This time, Carolline didn’t delete the photos and text messages but kept them.
After a while, she heard giggles coming from outside the front door. Carolline put on a coat and went out, followed by Richard Ward. Bryan Hawkins had been brought back drunk, escorted by Xavier Estrada.
"Mrs. Hawkins, Mr. Hawkins is back. He had a bit too much to drink, so I’ll need you to take care of him tonight," Xavier said to Carolline.
"Alright, thanks, Xavier." Carolline nodded and took Bryan from Xavier’s hands.
Bryan was really drunk, leaning heavily on her. If it wasn’t for Richard’s help nearby, Carolline would have been crushed by this nearly six-foot-tall man.
Xavier then took his leave.
With Richard’s help, Carolline brought Bryan to their room. Aunt Lu made him a hangover soup, but Carolline insisted they didn’t need it, though she couldn’t refuse Aunt Lu’s persistence.
After putting in tremendous effort to help Bryan change clothes and clean himself, Aunt Lu’s homemade hangover soup was ready. Aunt Lu helped Bryan drink the soup before going back to rest.
