Madame Duncan never thought that no matter how hard she tried to get back, she would still miss Daisy Willow.
In G City, she still had some connections. With regard to Duncan family’s assets, she had originally set aside some for herself. When Cole Duncan started his business and achieved success, she began to save those assets, specifically to protect herself against her daughter-in-law in the future.
All these strategies she learned from some wealthy ladies she met later on. She picked up several tactics to deal with her daughter-in-law from them.
Moreover, during the time when Cole Duncan divorced Daisy Willow, Jane Auclair had transferred some property. They had already agreed on some assets before. After Cole Duncan’s divorce, Jane Auclair was supposed to return them to her.
Thus, she still had some money in her hands.
That’s why, instead of calling her son on the way, she called the private detective she had contacted earlier, sparing no expense for him to help her locate Daisy Willow’s current residence.
The private detective was very skilled; by the time Madame Duncan arrived, he had already given her the address of Daisy Willow’s new home.
Holding the address, Madame Duncan thought for a moment and decided to go there the next day.
By the time she returned, Cole Duncan had already gone to sleep. Elena came out with the leftover milk Cole Duncan had drunk. The doctor suggested that Cole Duncan should drink milk every year, as it was a better way to get enough calcium.
"Madam, you are back?" Facing Madame Duncan, Elena was still somewhat fearful and respectfully greeted her.
"Hmm, is the young master asleep?" Madame Duncan initially disliked Elena, but now Elena was taking the best care of her son. As a result, it wouldn’t be fair for Madame Duncan to be overly demanding toward her.
