But Andy remained defiant, staring at her and pulling his hand back from supporting her.
Suddenly feeling rejected, Megan’s brows furrowed in annoyance. "What are you doing?"
One by one, everyone seemed to be turning against her. Was this a rebellion?
"Figure it out yourself." Andy wasn’t a completely spineless person. Over the years, he had pampered, cherished and indulged her because she hadn’t crossed his bottom lines and principles. But now that she’d crossed them, he naturally showed his temper.
"So both you and Carolline think I’m wrong for treating Charlotte this way, right?" Megan poked Andy in the chest, looking quite ferocious.
"Do you know what kind of things that little bitch Charlotte did behind Carolline’s back? You think Phoebe Miller’s rumors just happened out of nowhere?" Megan was becoming increasingly frustrated. As she gave her all for Carolline’s sake, these two betrayed her trust with their cold-heartedness. It was infuriating beyond belief.
"So what if she spread rumors? What you were thinking before was to hope that she wouldn’t come back. How can we be so vicious? Besides, you’re about to become a mother." Andy thought that Charlotte’s actions weren’t as excessive as Megan’s words earlier.
He had to make his wife understand this point, as Carolline had just hung up the phone on her for that reason.
