On the weekend, when Bryan Hawkins doesn’t have to work, he is now fully switched to double days off. Bryan and Axel woke up happily together and sent Carolline Ruiz to work, then father and son stayed at their mother-in-law’s house.
Axel wanted to eat shrimp, Emily Hill went out to buy 1 kg of shrimp, and Bryan called someone to deliver a box of hairy crabs. This lunch was extremely sumptuous, with both shrimp and crabs, and Axel was the happiest.
Carolline came back and exclaimed that it was too extravagant. The hairy crabs from Suntar Lake were delicious but expensive. However, the best time to eat hairy crabs is in November.
But Emily Hill was good at steaming crabs, so even if it was not the season for eating hairy crabs, Carolline found them incredibly delicious.
There were ten hairy crabs in total, so each person had two.
"If you like eating crabs so much, let’s continue tonight," Bryan Hawkins whispered in Carolline’s ear.
Carolline didn’t refuse; she liked crabs, especially Suntar Lake hairy crabs. Before and after Mid-Autumn each year, her father’s friends would send several boxes of them. They usually kept two boxes for themselves, and their family of three all enjoyed eating them, only preferring the brand from Suntar Lake.
Also, Carolline thought that treating Bryan Hawkins to hairy crabs wouldn’t be too extravagant, and it would be a way to save face for him.
Emily and Henry Ruiz didn’t go, and Axel didn’t want to go either. He had been missing his grandparents and wanted to stay at their house for a couple of nights.
