Chapter 506: Causing a Stir in the Courtroom (1)
The family of three was officially back together, and the happiest one was Axel. When he got home, he insisted that Carolline Ruiz help him take a bath and tell him bedtime stories, which was stopped by Bryan Hawkins.
The reason was simple. It’s inappropriate for mothers and sons to share the bathroom together. So, if Axel still needed help taking baths, he should only let Hawkins help. Mother must never.
Axel stared blankly. Carolline didn’t oppose. It was good to make Axel realize it sooner. So, She agreed with her husband’s words. She told the bedtime story to Axel.
Caroline’s voice was soft and soothing. Axel quickly drifted off to sleep.
Although, she was on her period, Carolline still returned to the Main Bedroom. She had become accustomed to having Hawkins holding her as they fell asleep. It was quite an adjustment not having that.
So you could say, habit is a scary thing.
Bryan Hawkins had already taken his bath and was in bed looking at his phone. When Ruiz came in, he conscientiously put his phone to the bedside, waving at Caroline, "Come here."
Caroline had also just finished her bath. She crawled towards him and snuggled into his arms. She felt unimaginably happy, "I wish Daisy Willow could also find her happiness. If Cole Duncan were a man, she and Elena Duncan wouldn’t have to suffer so much."
"Anything else?" Bryan asked. It was their time, and she was thinking about others. He really wanted to pinch her nose to see if she would realize that at times like this she should be focused on him.
