Secret Wealthy Marriage

Chapter 423: She Wants a Divorce (9)

He tolerated her coming to see him, merely because she was in the midst of her confinement period after giving birth. Her body would gradually recover, and her father had said that even if she were missing half a leg, a prosthetic would make her a normal person again, right?

But as for him, he would probably spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair. He was the boss of the company, and now all the matters were being handled by his assistant and vice president. He was already a cripple.

"Cole, what do you mean by not speaking? Do you not believe what I’m saying? Or do you not want to divorce that slutty woman Daisy Willow at all?" No matter which reason, Lady Duncan felt extremely furious.

"Mom, she is your daughter-in-law, not a slutty woman. Please don’t talk about her like that." Cole Duncan couldn’t stand to listen anymore. He knew that his mother was making things difficult for Daisy Willow. Every time he stood up for Daisy, his mother would bring up the hardships she went through raising him.

The most vivid memory was when Lady Duncan’s earnings from her job had been stolen on her way home. She cried and borrowed money from relatives, who were reluctant to help. She even kneeled to collect the stolen money, which made it possible for him to have a normal and happy year.

In the following year, Lady Duncan worked three jobs instead of two to repay the money to their relatives. It was hard to get through those bitter days, and then she said her son was unfilial and forgot his mother after having a wife.

Upon hearing this, Cole felt heartbroken and could only wrong Daisy.

"She’s about to cuckold you, and you still consider her your wife, Cole? Are you bewitched?" Lady Duncan was practically furious, as her son was utterly unreasonable, which made her feel incredibly angry.
