"Hmm, okay. You go ahead and be busy, but be careful." Carolline nodded her head; she wasn’t the clingy type of woman, so Bryan was overthinking things.
She had made it through five years, raising Axel all by herself, hadn’t she?
"Hmm, I know." Bryan nodded his head, feeling a bit disappointed when he saw Carolline being so relaxed and not showing any signs of being sad about their separation, "I’ll try my best to be back within a week."
The main issue was that this matter involved government officials, and their hotel needed government support and cooperation. Otherwise, they would find trouble at any minute, making things very annoying.
"Hmm, handle your own matters first." Carolline nodded, not pressing him.
"...Wife, it would be nice if you weren’t working. Then you could follow me wherever I go, how perfect would that be? Now, we’re about to be apart for a whole week, and you’re not even a little upset. As your husband, I feel rather disappointed." Just out of the elevator, Bryan moved closer to Carolline, his words full of grievance.
They had just set their wedding date, Axel wasn’t around, so he had thought they could have a passionate and vigorous night together. Because of Axel’s presence at home, Carolline only allowed any intimacies in the bedroom and nowhere else.
In fact, he really wanted to make love with her in every corner of their home.
Carolline liked reading those romance novels, and he would occasionally sneak a peek at what she was reading. Later, he figured out her preferences and had an idea in his heart. He wanted to allow Carolline to experience those scenes firsthand.
