Chapter 326: Another Bad Thing (6)
At eight-thirty in the morning, Bryan Hawkins finished sending Axel off and bought breakfast for Carolline Ruiz. Outside the hospital, he called her, "Wife, where are you? I bought breakfast and am bringing it for you."
Carolline, who had been feeling depressed all night, finally relaxed a bit when she heard Bryan’s voice and told him where she was.
After she talked to Andy Aguirre, the Duncan family sent someone - an elegantly dressed, affluent woman, who burst into tears when she saw her son’s condition.
Carolline also went to see him and stood outside the door, coldly watching the scene. She didn’t have an ounce of sympathy. When the woman finished crying and asked Lottie Mitchell about her son’s situation, Lottie said he would probably be paralyzed on one side of his body.
The woman immediately fainted. Andy was notified and rushed over to help. It was difficult to wake her up, and when she finally did, she broke down in tears again. It was the first time Carolline was so indifferent to a patient.
After Andy saw this, he took Carolline aside and lectured her about the importance of treating patients equally as medical professionals. As for the moral aspects of a patient’s conduct, even a judge couldn’t solve them, let alone doctors and nurses like them.
"You don’t need to lecture me. I’m not a doctor, and it’s not my responsibility to save or help people. You’ve brought him back to life, can’t I just watch from the sidelines?"
Carolline had just finished speaking when Andy covered her mouth, "Don’t say this kind of thing anymore, okay? You should rest. I’ll ask someone else to look after Jane Auclair."
Carolline looked at Andy’s retreating figure. Would he suspect her of poisoning Jane?
