Chapter 277: Being a Good Dad (7)
What is love? It’s giving the food you most enjoy to the person you love.
This is Axel’s love for Bryan Hawkins.
"Thank you, but Daddy won’t have the chicken leg." Bryan walked over. It was lunchtime, and he’d taken the chicken leg for Carolline.
"Such a Daddy’s boy, it’s great that you love your Daddy so much, but remember not to forget about Mommy, okay? Otherwise Mommy might get jealous." Emily Hill teased Axel’s tiny nose, gently reminding him.
"I haven’t forgotten about Mommy, Grandma. Mommy doesn’t like chicken legs, she says she needs to keep her figure." Axel seriously explained. Before, he saved lots of chicken legs for Mommy, but Mommy never ate them, claiming to keep her figure, so he believed her.
This is because many girls at kindergarten don’t eat fatty food when they are eating, also saying it is to maintain a slender figure.
"What kind of figure does your skinny mom have? She just leaves all the delicious food to you. I remember how much she adored chicken legs. Even in middle school, she would constantly ask Grandma Emily for fried chicken legs after school." Emily reminisced about Carolline’s childhood.
"..." Bryan couldn’t help but glance back at Carolline on the balcony. He realized he knew too little about her and imagined the middle schooler Carolline returning from school asking Emily for chicken legs, which was a beautiful image.
"Daddy, what are you smiling about?" Axel didn’t understand. He put his chicken leg, along with his bowl, on Carolline’s seat. He was surrounded by his parents on each side, feeling extremely fortunate.
"Nothing." Carolline came up at that time and Bryan Hawkins shook his head in denial.
