Chapter 276: Being a Good Dad (6)
"Um, okay, thank you, Auntie." Bryan Hawkins expressed his gratitude, helped Axel take off his wet clothes, and, after Emily Hill brought a set of Henry Ruiz’s clothes over, they closed the door and started showering in the bathroom, with laughter occasionally coming from inside.
Axel was the happiest of all. Carolline Ruiz let the porridge cool down and joined her parents in the living room, waiting for the father and son horsing around inside. Her face didn’t look very good.
"Come on, it’s a rare chance for Axel to have fun with his dad. Don’t be like this." Emily Hill said, prompting Carolline to regain her composure. She asked Henry Ruiz, "By the way, Bryan has been with Axel all this time, isn’t he busy at work?"
He’s in charge of such a big company. There are so many chain hotels in the country, not to mention the foreign market he’s been expanding into these years. He used to not take any vacation for a year, and now he’s unexpectedly idle, which is a bit worrisome.
"It should be fine, I think he said he would take a week off. I have tomorrow off, so I’m making him go fishing with me," Henry Ruiz replied, watching TV. He didn’t think too much about it. Besides, it’s not a big deal to take a week off after being busy for so many years.
"Huh, you’ve already made plans. I see not only Axel is happy when he’s back." Emily Hill glanced at Carolline and saw her expression becoming uncontrollable again, "Carolline, stop holding grudges against Bryan. Actually, the misunderstandings between the two of you are your mother’s fault."
Everyone could see that Carolline was still angry with Bryan. Emily Hill sighed, deciding to talk about her very wrong behavior years ago. She had been regretful all these years. If she hadn’t taken the initiative to say those words to Bryan Hawkins back then, they wouldn’t be like this today.
