Chapter 257 Unmasking the Lies (5)
Actually, she was very tired, but Carolline only fell asleep after lying in bed for a long time. She didn’t even know what was on her mind. If it hadn’t been for her alarm clock going off every morning, relying solely on Carolline’s biological clock, Axel would have been late for school today.
When Carolline finished washing up and came out, Axel was already dressed and sitting at the table eating breakfast. He was wearing the clothes that Carolline had bought for him; they had been washed the night before and were probably still damp.
Henry Ruiz had bought steamed buns and porridge, as well as soy milk and Fried Dough Sticks. Seeing Carolline come out, he hurriedly left, "Carolline, I’m off to work."
"Grandpa, take your time." Carolline nodded, and Axel swallowed the bun in his mouth, warning him.
Carolline lovingly touched Axel’s head and then sat down opposite him. "Axel, I didn’t have a very good tone last night. Don’t hold it against me, okay?"
Carolline still remembered the aggrieved look on Axel’s face yesterday, and couldn’t help feeling guilty.
"No, I won’t. Grandma told me that every month, you would have a few days when you can’t control yourself. It’s okay, Axel understands." Axel nodded sensibly and said understandingly.
"..." Carolline was petrified on the spot. Her mom actually talked about this to a child; she couldn’t believe it. Is that how grandmothers are supposed to act?
"Oh, and grandma said it’s called Aunt Flow. Mom, is your Aunt Flow coming soon, or has she already arrived?" Axel looked at Carolline with wide, innocent eyes. So that was why she was in a bad mood towards him and his father yesterday?
