Caroline casually put her phone aside and continued to scrub the clothes.
For new clothes, just rubbing them gently was enough. Caroline quickly washed two basins of new clothes. Thankfully, she had bought several clothes hangers during a previous shopping trip, which she had even been scolded by Emily for. Today, she could finally put them to good use.
After hanging the clothes to dry, Caroline looked at her handiwork with some embarrassment. Their spacious balcony was completely filled with clothes, all belonging to Axel.
After taking a shower later, she wouldn’t have any space left to hang her own clothes.
At this moment, the main culprit called her. Seeing the unknown number, Caroline ignored the first incoming call as she typically didn’t answer calls from unsaved contacts.
Soon, the phone rang again. Initially planning to hang up, Caroline’s finger inexplicably changed direction and hit the green answer button instead.
"Caroline, it’s me. This is my new number; save it when you have the time." Bryan’s voice floated into Caroline’s ear. He knew she would save it without waiting for her reply. "I’m back home, in an apartment near the company."
"Well, you don’t have to tell me so many details. Just let me know that you’ve arrived safely," Caroline said awkwardly, and glancing at the full balcony, she found the person on the phone really irritating.
He could’ve just sent a text message instead of making a call.
