Chapter 462 - 463: As Profound as Him
"President Griffith, have you been waiting long?"
"Not too long."
As William Griffith resumed his conversation with Mr.Chip, he glanced fleetingly at a particular corner. It seemed like he saw her, but also seemed to have missed her. No one noticed that his eyes tightened after shifting away. It was a twist that no one could understand.
"Mr.Chip, let me propose a toast to you!"
"Okay, Chief Editor Sally!"
During the feast, toasts were exchanged and of course, praise was given mainly by Chief Editor Sally.
The room was filled with the smell of tobacco. Cherish Turner noticed that he smoked without stopping, drank a lot of wine, but ate very little. Most of his food remained untouched, which suddenly made her feel somewhat sad.
"Miss Turner, come and propose a toast to Mr.Chip!" Chief Editor Sally suddenly shouted.
Cherish Turner was called out, forcing herself to stand up and approach the table. Chief Editor Sally filled a glass for her, and she had no choice but to accept it, smiling and saying, "Mr.Chip, let me propose a toast to you!"
"Okay!" Mr.Chip was delighted, clinking glasses and drinking it down.
It was strong alcohol, so spicy that it felt like it was burning Cherish’s stomach. Tears welled up in her eyes, and his handsome face blurred.
