"Jiaojiao!" Yu Rou, frustrated, almost let go of her hand.
Ruan Jiaojiao laughed heartily once more. As soon as they stepped outside, she stopped joking. She knew girls are sensitive about face; some jokes can be made in private, but not in front of others, especially boys, as it would make girls embarrassed.
When the two went downstairs, everyone was gathered in the living room eating watermelon. Seeing them come down, the Ruan Family warmly greeted Yu Rou, who instinctively looked toward Ruan Qun, and seeing him talking to someone else, her face flushed with redness again. Luckily, it was summer, so being a bit flushed didn’t seem out of place, just as if she were too hot.
However, when she withdrew her gaze, she met Ruan Jiaojiao’s all-seeing eyes and couldn’t help but lower her head more.
Ruan Jiaojiao couldn’t contain her laughter, until a slice of watermelon was stuffed into her mouth.
Ruan Jiaojiao traced the slice to find Duan Xi feeding her watermelon, just about to speak when Shu Jiao from the other side said, "Xiaoxi, eat it yourself, don’t spoil her like this."
Ruan Jiaojiao puffed up her cheeks, quietly munching on the sweet watermelon.
Duan Xi said blandly, "It’s fine, I don’t like eating the middle, just the part near the rind."
"Ha-ha," Lu Zishu laughed, "So there are people like that, Duan Xi, you’re surely one of a kind."
"..." The others.
Zhao Li sighed, barely able to watch.
Ruan Lei laughed heartily, "Lu Zishu, how have you survived till now?"
