Win My Husband Over to Find My Child

Chapter 151: She Missed Going Out When the Sun Was Out

True to Calix’s words, the gym in the first basement was converted to a rehabilitation treatment room for Leslie.

A group of people came the next day, Sunday. They were assigned the task of realizing his vision.

"It will be more convenient for you. You don’t have to hurry to the hospital back and forth many times a week. Doesn’t it mean you can quickly return to your room to rest?"

Those were Calix’s answers when Leslie inquired about the importance of him doing this. She didn’t want to trouble him more than necessary—not after already asking him for many favors—but, he reassured her that everything was fine.

"I’m doing this for myself, okay? I’ll get good publicity if people know how considerate I am to my wife. I won’t get beaten and nagged by my grandma too."

Calix’s excuses cracked Leslie up. Of course, she couldn’t laugh out loud. Still, her heart was tickled by how hilarious the man’s reasons were.

Starting Monday, Calix went to the company as usual. Leslie was usually still asleep during the time he left for work, leaving her with either Mrs. Su and Mrs. An. Aunt Wendy and Uncle Raymond as well.

In the first few days after Leslie regained consciousness, she couldn’t help but keep dozing off. The private nurses and Aunt Wendy often accompanied her when she was awake.

Even though Leslie couldn’t talk much to them, she was happy to hear random stories from the older ladies. They were also patient with her when her pronunciation was disorganized.

At night, Leslie often had dinner with Calix. He made sure to come home on time to dine together.

Then, Calix would bring Leslie to the backyard to get some fresh night air. At the same time, she listened to his stories.
