Chapter 62: The Pastries Did Their Job to Sweeten Her Mood
The traffic on Friday morning was slow but, Calix was not in a hurry. Turning on the radio, he let the newly released spring pop songs blare in the car.
Leslie’s lips curled up, enjoying the upbeat tune of the songs. All of the songs were unfamiliar to her but, they reminded Leslie of her favorites from her world.
’I miss my go-to songs ah. Seems like I need to forget about listening to them again. Better I find new favorites here.’
While Leslie’s heart danced to the tempo, Calix’s was in disarray. Cold sweat broke on his back as shivers traveled his whole body.
He suddenly remembered that he had forgotten to tell her something extremely important!
What to do?
What should he do?
If he brought it now, wouldn’t she get mad at him?
But!
He needed to tell her before they got home!
