Nyzzara flinched as she brought her gaze down. “He always takes things too far… even when we were little. He’s strong, but he doesn’t understand personal attachment. He thinks that those who have deep emotional connections have a greater chance of achieving a large breakthrough if they lose their loved ones.”
“So he wants to break people just to see if they become stronger?” Rael asked, furrowing his brows. “Is that it then?”
She stared at him for a few moments before continuing. “I should’ve stopped him. I tried to believe he’d change this time… but I was wrong. If you still choose to help us, even after this, I’ll owe you more than just gratitude.”
