Chapter 280: Unforgivable Sin
"Ravi." Arlen’s voice was serious, his expression tense.
"Yes. How many..."
"Twenty. Twenty children from twenty monasteries have been reported missing."
"What is going on Ravi?" Sage interjected, he looked at the two of them, "Twenty children are missing? Which children? Do you need help?"
Ravi looked down at home and Sage quickly noticed that his eyes were more gold than grey.
"Nothing is wrong, it is just someone trying to dip his hand in a jar that did not belong to him."
Sage looked even more concerned and then frowned when Arlen patted his head, "No need to be cryptic. I am not a child. I can’t feel Malik in my mind and you look worried. You never look worried. I know something is wrong. I can help, so don’t try to shake me off. " The more he spoke, the more angrier he got, "Hell, you are my family too so don’t keep things from me. I hate it."
Family. That word made Ravi feel warm even in this situation. Even before he became a Sentinel, he had never really had one. But now...He must protect them.
"There is somebody after Malik’s lover and Arlen’s brother. That person is very very dangerous. He is even stronger than Malik." Ravi replied him.
Sage’s eyes widened and there was a little doubt in them. Like he could not fathom that someone could be stronger than Malik. Ravi nodded to affirm his words, "The situation is delicate so I need to concentrate and I can only do that if I know that you, Ash, and Lana are safe. I need you to take care of them, to protect them. Can you do it?"
Sage was quiet for a second and then nodded, "Leave it to me. I would make sure that nothing happens to them." His voice was solemn and serious and Ravi patted his shoulder.
