Chapter 49: I want you to be poor forever
Shentu Ling, Jiang Zhaoling and that woman glared at Shentu Jing, Shentu Chu, Shentu Mingye and Shentu Dong. Their gazes implied that they blamed them for the disturbance.
Shentu Mingye quickly raised his hands. "I didn’t do anything!"
Jiang Zhaoling elbowed him.
"Ow! What you do that for!?"
"Just shut up. You’re ruining my mood," Jiang Zhaoling told him without looking at him. She went to dip some biscuits in her milk.
Shentu Chu also raised his hands. "Don’t look at me, ladies. It wasn’t me,"
Now that leaves Shentu Jing and Shentu Dong. Shentu Dong chuckled nervously.
"Honey, we have a guest. Behave yourself," the woman said, casting a glance at Qin Zhuzhu with a smile.
The woman was Ning Ning, Shentu Dong’s current wife. She was the mother of Shentu Mingye and used to be a mistress before Shentu Dong’s first wife died.
"I’m Ning Ning, Mingye’s mother," Ning Ning smiled.
"Nice to meet you," Qin Zhuzhu took her outstretched hand and shook it. The two of them chatted and talked.
