The Alpha Prince's Purchased Maid

Chapter 422: Preparing Our Angel

I should have known that the prince would never want to become the next king for his own personal gain. I found myself nodding my head naturally in agreement with his plan when I realized that I also had to play my part in contributing to the happiness of our son in the future.

“I agree that that seems to be the easiest way. I guess if you become king, you can change the rules in whatever way you want,” I said while seeing more than a glimpse of hope.

“It’s not going to be that easy. Many people on the committee are going to be against it, but this is our best shot. No matter what, we’re going to make this successful and change the rules of this country for the better,” the prince said, so motivatingly that I found myself feeling slightly excited.

“I guess bringing change, especially big changes, isn’t going to be easy,” I said, but by then I couldn’t stop myself from smiling. In my mind, I had already envisioned such a bright future, and it gave me the greatest honor to be able to contribute towards that future.

“Well, first things first. We have to have our wedding,” the prince said, and for the first time in a while, I saw him smile so excitedly.

...

Our wedding day wasn’t just referred to as the most perfect wedding ever hosted in the kingdom but also the most extravagant coronation. When I first agreed to formally marry Prince Leonard and become the next queen of the kingdom, I never anticipated having two very important events happening in my life on the same day. The prince told me that it wasn’t customary for the coronation ceremony to happen on the same day as the wedding, but since the king was in such a rush, he thought that hitting two birds with one stone wasn’t such a bad idea.

After making our promise to safeguard the future of our son and also the kingdom together, it only took around one month for the day of our wedding to finally arrive. One of the primary reasons why I was excited for the wedding was the fact that our son would also be there to celebrate with us. In fact, it was arranged that Logan would accompany me when I walked down the aisle. Although I thought that it was an amazing idea and also a gesture filled with love, the idea was also accompanied by some worries.

“You have to remain calm and not get too excited, okay?” I instructed Logan sweetly when we were discussing the plan of what he was supposed to do during his parents’ wedding ceremony. I wasn’t sure how much Logan fully understood, but he did nod his head and smile sweetly up at me.

“I think you’re just putting pressure on him. Just let him enjoy himself,” Prince Leonard chimed in casually.

I turned and glared at him before turning to smile at Logan. “You can’t let anyone see you in your wolf form on the day,” I reminded him with a tight smile.
