Chapter 715: Once Again
Lu Yizhou’s eyes abruptly snapped open and he shot up sitting, there was none of the drowsiness in his alert silver eyes. Dr. Feng, however, pressed his shoulders back down and told him in a firm voice, "Stay here! I will go and see what happens." He did not give Lu Yizhou any chance to refute and immediately turned away to rush toward the source of the voice – Zachary.
Even though Dr. Feng looked calm on the outside, his heart was rapidly sinking in dread. What happened? What the hell could have happened in this place? Had the enemies found their location and chased them all the way here?! No, it couldn’t be!
He practically flew down the stairs, crossed the living room and slammed Zachary’s room open, his breathing harsh and uneven. "Zachary...?!"
His eyes immediately zeroed in on the young man who had evidently fallen from the bed, judging from the blanket that was still tangled up with his legs. From Dr. Feng’s position, he could only see Zachary whose head was hung low, shoulders trembling faintly.
Had he broken some bones?!
Dr. Feng’s poor heart almost jumped out of his throat as he sped forward. "Is there something wrong?!" He crouched down and held Zachary’s shoulders and his heart sank even deeper when he found the tears on his golden eyes. He was immediately reminded of the time when Zachary tried to stab himself with scissors and the anxiety in his heart surged to a brand new peak. "What’s wrong? Are you hurt anywhere? Hurry up and tell me!"
"Dr. Feng...?" Zeke’s eyes widened in surprise when he saw that it was not Lu Yizhou who had come to check on him. He grabbed Dr. Feng’s sleeves tightly and his face became ghastly pale. "W–Where is Lu Yizhou?" He glanced at the doorway yet the man he was seeking for was nowhere to be found. If not for the intense soreness on his back, waist and legs – well, practically his whole body – he would have thought that last night was merely a pipe dream...
The Head Administrator was afraid that this young man would come up with another episode of ’this is not my reality’ and seek another method to harm himself. He hastily tried to reassure him. "He’s fine! He is still alive and kicking. He is just upstairs and it’s not very convenient for him to come down now. What about you? Why are you screaming so loud?!"
"Ah, that..." Zeke became sheepish when he recalled his frenzied scream earlier. "Forget it. It’s nothing at all."
