Perhaps, the putrid smell that all humans emitted wasn't so bad after all.
Even in this gigantic forest, where thousands of animals and different life forms existed, I could still distinctly identify the disgusting scent of a human.
So, I was practically immune to any sneak attacks from humans.
Turning my head in the direction of the smell, I crouched down and remained on a branch, hiding in the darkness of the tree's leaves above me.
The location of the herbs hadn't been hard to find, as the book mentioned they only grew in the darker parts of the forest, so I went farther and farther into the trees until I finally saw one.
Pulling the cloak over my face and concealing my eyes, I silently climbed up the tree I was on until the sun finally came into view.
Looking up, I could see the light-blue sky and yellow sun, and looking down, I could see the massive forest that seemed to stretch on for miles.
Like a bird waiting to catch their prey, I perched atop the tree, enjoying the occasional breeze that brushed against my cloak.
To get the herbs inside the forest, the protagonist and the doctor would have to leave their carriage behind on the plain as there was no way it would fit within the densely packed trees.
Seeing this, Kratos would immediately attempt to find and lure a troll to the protagonist's unguarded carriage, leaving a trap for them.
