I Got Reincarnated as a Zombie Girl

Chapter 134 – A Peaceful Night and the Unseen Chaos

Sylvia returned to her room, closing the large wooden door slowly until only the soft rustle of magical chains could be heard. The room was spacious yet quiet, with dark gray stone walls and minimalist furniture in deep black hues. The blue fire in the corner hearth was still burning, casting a dim light that reflected off the black marble floor.

She walked over to a small table beside the bookshelf. There, a kettle filled with water was already prepared, as usual. She picked it up and placed it on a stand near the fireplace, then lit the nether flame. The flame was bluish-purple, smokeless, and burned hot enough to heat metal or water without damaging the furniture thanks to its controlled nature.

While waiting for the water to boil, Sylvia raised her hand and opened her storage system. A small pouch containing black tea leaves appeared in her palm not tea from her old world, but from mutated plants native to this one. Its aroma was strong, with hints of spice and metal strange, yet refreshing.

She didn’t know how to brew tea the proper way not like nobles who understood the nuances of steeping. She simply followed her usual method: tossing the tea leaves directly into the pot, waiting for the water to change color, then pouring it into a cup.

Soon, the water turned a deep reddish-black. Sylvia extinguished the nether flame, took the kettle with a cloth, and poured its contents into a plain white cup.

Warm steam rose from the cup, carrying a calming scent.

She sat on the sofa near the balcony, lifted the cup, and took a slow sip.

The astringency hit sharply, but a strange warmth spread down her throat, accompanied by a soothing aroma. She exhaled deeply, allowing her body to relax slightly after a long, exhausting day.

"The world might change again soon..." she muttered quietly, staring at the fire as its blue flames danced gently. "I hope I’ll be stronger by then... because perhaps some legendary beings will break free from their boundaries."
