Chapter 92: Going Home
(Arata)
"Thanks for everything again. Goodbye, I will see you on my return." I offered my sincere gratitude, observing his expressions.
Something shifted on his face, like a dark shadow as if he wanted to say a few words.
I halted in expectation, but then he decided against it and only grimly said.
"Goodbye, Arata." He didn’t seem pleased or maybe this was just how he usually was.
Olphi held the door for me while Caysir managed my luggage as I slipped out of his latest car.
On learning Karsten had already bought himself this car, Zaylen was going to be so jealous. With happy and naughty thoughts I made my way inside the airport with Caysir–he seemed extra vigilant. His sharp eyes judged everyone and ensured no one came into my proximity.
Soon we boarded the plane and settled in our seats in the first class. Caysir placed my hand carrier in the compartment above and settled on the seat behind me. I extracted my phone to text Zaylen, letting him know I had boarded the plane.
Flashing on my screen was a text from Karsten instead.
{Are you comfortable? There wasn’t any issue?} I smiled to myself and quickly typed back. A warm sensation was settling inside my stomach at how concerned he sounded.
{We have boarded and there is no issue. I will text you when we land.} Hitting send, I texted Zaylen too.
