Chapter 67: The two strongest
The field went into an uproar after Alex’s opponent surrendered and hastily ran out of the ring, the student fled like someone who was being chased by a magic beast; it was as if he was afraid that Alex would refuse his surrender and attack him out of the blue.
Alex, as well as the two teachers, were stunned by the student’s action but quickly recovered. They felt it was only natural that some of the students would choose to forfeit after witnessing what happened to Fabio the previous day. Besides, this wasn’t the first time a student was giving up before the match even started.
With the teacher announcing his victory, Alex walked out of the ring and returned to his previous seat.
Meanwhile, the students discussed as they watched him walk to his seat.
"I don’t blame that kid, though; I would have done the same."
"Only a foolish person would continue with the fight after seeing what happened to Fabio, one should know their limits."
"True, true. Senior Alex isn’t someone anyone can just face, I reckon that only goddess Laura can face him at this point."
"Man, I still think that student was too weak-minded; he should have at least waited a bit; doesn’t he care for his dignity?"
"What’s the use of dignity when your face is swollen or you get trashed around? You’ll only become more ashamed."
"Anyways, now that Senior Alex has won his third match, he only needs to win two more matches before he can qualify for the top 5 and become one of the people to represent the academy."
"Waw, I never imagined that the trash...ahem, I mean senior Alex would make it into the top 5."
