Chapter 235: Abandoned
Mrs. Fang, who had been ignored by everyone, was finally able to speak after Chu Miao lifted the restriction she had placed on her.
However, she regretted that decision almost immediately.
"Why didn’t you treat me too? How can you be so heartless? Aren’t we living in the same house, then why don’t I get treated as well since I might have been infected too?" She asked several questions consecutively with that unreasonable, loud voice of hers.
The harmonious atmosphere was shattered at that moment. Everyone turned to look at this woman who had been silent all along but was finally speaking.
It was only at that moment that they realized that she might not have been quite out of her will but was forced to shut up.
Before Mr. Fang could say anything to reprimand her, Chu Miao beat him to it.
"One more word from that rotten mouth of yours and I’ll make sure you never speak another word in your life."
When she heard that voice and the words of threat that followed, Mrs. Fang kept quiet as if the pause button on a remote had been pressed.
She had already experienced the feeling of wanting to speak but unable to make a sound. She really didn’t want to experience it again, but if she didn’t speak now and have this devil’s mother treat her, then she might as well wait for death.
