Chapter 194: Hitting the Jackpot
Yang Leo was given the same motivation when he came back, and like the others. Realizing that his family could have more food and drinks and not have to eat a few bites every meal, he was happy.
Chu Miao and Ye Xuan had gone from shop to shop looking for more supplies. They didn’t lack these things, but because they had more people to feed than they planned when they were buying supplies before the apocalypse, collecting more was necessary.
They did not discriminate against anything they found. Whether it was deemed useful or not, they believed that they would find some use one day.
Thus, even the furniture in the offices found in these shops was spared. Whether it was a simple couch, a table, or a set of stools and coffee tables, they were all packed and put in the space ring.
To avoid some of human nature’s emotions from creating a rift, they piled some of the supplies they found at the door of each shop.
There were all sorts of supplies including food, clothes, shoes, bags, and many others. They even removed solar panels mounted on walls in the balcony of the shops or outside the window.
Solar batteries were not spared either. In one of the snacks shops that used to sell all types of meat snacks such as dumplings, skewers, chicken nuggets, and other things, they heard the sound of a freezer running as soon as they walked in.
This was on the fourth floor. It was surprising how a freezer can run in such a situation. Even though the electricity had only been completely cut off in the last few days in their community, with the situation here in downtown, it must have been gone for a while.
Moreover, with the constant rain, there was not enough sun to power a battery that could run a freezer. Therefore, there can only be one explanation. A generator was running it.
