Chapter 5: Calling for a Family Meeting
Once she was done, she got up and left her room then went downstairs to have lunch with her family.
She was really happy to have such a family here. At first, she had wanted to share what she had found with them after lunch, but she decided to wait until evening when her father and brother came back from work.
She also wanted to use this time to figure out why her soul had so seamlessly fused with this body. It couldn’t be a coincidence. In the cultivation world coincidences could kill, so she had to understand what was going on.
When she entered the dining room, everyone was already waiting.
"Everyone is here." She said and made her way to the seat next to her grandfather. It was astonishing how even the seating arrangement in the dining area was arranged the same way as in her previous life. She used to sit next to her grandfather since she was young even though her father was already the clan leader and there were other children of her uncles.
"It’s good that little Bunny is home. I want to thank our ancestors for protecting her. Such a terrible accident. It is only with good karma that she can sit with us for this meal." Grandfather was the first to speak, then he picked up his chopsticks and picked a piece of fried beef for Chu Miao. It was one of her favorite foods.
Everyone started to eat then. In the family, there were not many rules, especially about not talking while eating. As long as people don’t talk about heavy topics or work, they can discuss everything else while they are.
"Daddy, brother, when you come home in the evening, I have something important to discuss with everyone. So I hope you can come home early." Chu Miao decided to tell them about her plans in case they had dinner plans or socializing events and returned late.
After today, there will only be 28 days before the apocalypse, and preparations have not started yet. She needed everyone to know about it and start preparing.
