Chapter 657: Not His Possession
Of course, not without ogling at her for a bit first.
Now, Ferdinand felt hot too. It was then that he realized the air in the room was barely moving unless they made movements.
He glanced at the windows and they were shut tight. No wonder Arabella felt it was too warm and sweated a lot under the thick covers.
Ferdinand was reminded that with Winter coming, Arabella must have felt cold so the windows were shut tight. But when he was with her in bed, the temperature rose, especially with the thick sheets.
’I guess she did not push me away because she was angry at me or anything,’ Ferdinand sighed in relief. He opened a window to let fresh air in and help Arabella cool down.
Of course, he badly needed it too. He simply could never get used to seeing his wife naked.
He folded her used clothes neatly and was tempted to use them for something else since her scent and sweat were still on them.
But the thought that Arabella would look at him with so much disgust when she learns about it made him just settle the clothes neatly somewhere he would not see it, so he would not be tempted.
He thought of taking a cold bath but he did not want to leave Arabella alone. She might feel cold once she had cooled down so he needed to close the window again soon or lay beside her.
Ferdinand managed to calm himself after a while and returned to bed. He lay beside Arabella once again and was delighted when soon enough, she hugged him.
’See? She likes me. I should truly stop overthinking things,’ Ferdinand thought and kissed her forehead.
